Issues Important to Our Town

In this section we will identify issues that Citizens of Dexter have told us are important to them. We will do our best to present all sides of the issues that face our Town. Below are the issues that members of CRG have identified. Over the next few months we will add information about these issues. We will separate opinion from fact.

The idea is to present issues of importance, provide as much information as possible and let individuals form their own position on each of the issues.

Annexation

• What is the status of downtown? How can we attract business to downtown? Is new construction the answer?
• What is the condition of our Industrial Park and the businesses located there?

• Would we be able to attract new business to the area?

Cityhood

• What would be the boundaries of the "City of Dexter"?
• How much money is the Village spending on the process towards becoming a city?
• When do the people who live in Dexter and surrounding area have an opportunity to be heard?

                                 - Council and other meetings held at Dexter Senior Center next to Copeland School building

• How important are the costs of acquiring space, renovation, construction?
